I have been using electronic vapor-producing devices for about a month now and find them to be much healthier for me than cigarettes. Why is Paypal banning their sales?

Thats a very good question .. Snuff is another way of getting nicoten and has been for sale a long time , containes nicoten that u sniff up your nose, and they have no problem with that .. Its a industry that many are afraid of.. it looks too much like real smoking i think .. and too many just dont know enough about it .. Its like a ALIEN .. they are affraid of what is not proven ..its the same reason if you vaped in a hospital or a movie theater .. you would have the cops and SWAT team on you ..Ill follow this thread im courious about a official reply but you wont get one from paypal as they dont have a reason .. thats my opinion anyway .. Good Luck with that. 🙂

There is this statement in the PP Help Center:
"PayPal generally prohibits transactions for all types of tobacco products, including cigarettes, cigars, and smokeless tobacco due to legal requirements and industry regulations for online tobacco sales."
Any merchant selling these products and offering PP is either doing so without PP's knowledge or with written permission. That permission can be revoked by PP at any time, for any reason, without explanation, and without recourse by the merchant.
Given PP's documented position on tobacco products, I'm surprised that anyone has been able to use PP to buy them at any point.

I didnt know that buying stuff with regards to cigarette / tobacco using paypal is not allowed.I seen some website selling those stuff and accept paypal..My husband is a chain smoker and now he's using ecig and it is better than that regular cigarette.I think paypal should allow that since that ecig will help smoker to quit, well thats my opinion and thats what ive notice now to my husband. He use ecig for 3weeks now and it doesnt bother me anymore, specially the annoying smell of that regular smoke..

I believe that if a reason is not given soon and a good reason, I may have to take my funding elsewhere. I have been using Paypal for many years, but never have I felt so appalled by having a FUNDING COMPANY limit me on what I can or cannot purchase. Paypal is available for real tobacco, pornsites, and many other questionable items or content. Why do you feel the need to step in now? I expect some for of response soon.

The US District Court of District Columbia issued a decision granting a preliminary injunction seeking to prevent the FDA from detaining or refusing US entry of electronic cigarette products.
Will this decision affect PayPal's banning of e-cigarette sales? I hope the court's decision will help reverse PayPal's stance.

My issue here is. IT IS NOT TOBACCO. It is a liquid base of propylened glycol or vegetable glycol with nicotine in the liquid. How does that make it tobacco? Smokeless or not, again it is not tobacco. Now if PP had a disclaimer saying that it would not allow the sale of nicotine containing liquid, then I would say you have a leg to stand on. This is not the case though.

Exactly. I just got spanked for selling an ecig starter kit, which included 6 refill cartridges that had 0mg nicotine...none. I wonder how much big tobacco companies paid Ebay and PP? Isn't there a law against restricting legal trade in this country? This is completely wrong....I feel like I don't live in America anymore. Basically, it's okay to consume nicotine, as long as it's in the most toxic disguise. 😞
