Payment has been on hold after i shipped package?

About a week and a half ago, i shipped a gameboy that i sold on ebay. After about 5 or 6 days, i contacted the person that i sent the gameboy too via ebay mail and they said to me that they got it and would leave feedback. When i shipped the package, i didnt use a printable shiping label, i just went to the post office and wrote down the adress of my buyer. Now even after contacting my buyer, my funds are still being held and i dont know why or what i can do in order to get my money for the gameboy. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

This has just happened to me!!  Great feed back and after 3 MONTHS of having the dress the buyer took back the payment!!  I am going to lose it!!  I will keep you updated!!

My funds are on hold right now, I learned that from now on, I'll always get a tracking # because there is absolutely no where on the paypal web site that sellers can tell their side of the story, unless they have a tracking # for the package they sent. I am now in the process of waiting for the buyer to lift the hold after she receives the item, oh and by the way, strangely, she already left positive feed back, go figure LOL

All I know is if they hold my funds I will hold the package till my funds are in my possession, that simple.  When the buyer asks where's my package, I'll direct them to PayPal by telling them they are holding the money so no transaction can be completed.

YES! I love this Idea!!! Please everyone, contact all your buyers and explain this situation and ask your buyer to contact paypal and let then know it is slowing down your transaction time!

We need all buyers and seller to switch to AlertPay. They pay you right away with no problems. Stop using paypal pleeeeeeeeeeease. I've been selling on Ebay since 1998 with 100% feedback for paypal to hold funds is very very nasty. So what they really want is to make money off out money. Don't allow it, it is illegal for them to hold money indefinetly. REPORT THEM TO YOUR STATE ATTORNEY'S OFFICE, CONSUMER AFFAIRS, BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU, FEDERAL BANKING COMMISSION. ANYTHING YOU HAVE IN YOUR STATE.

THIS IS RIDICULOUS!!!  THEY ARE HOLDING MONEY THAT IS NOT THEIRS!!!  NO WONDER PEOPLE AREN'T SELLING ON EBAY WITH PAYPAL WITH THESE POLICIES THAT SEEM RANDOM!!! THEY ARE CURRENTLY HOLDING ALL MY MONEY FOR SALES SINCE DEC...NOT TO BE RELEASED UNTIL THE END OF THIS MONTH!  THIS IS THEFT!!!

From now on, I will refuse to ship until the buyer leaves positive feedback and payment is made available. THis policy is complete bull**it.

all i can say is paypal sucks and i will refuse accepting paypal anymore. Its always a random excuse if you call them

PayPal is using this scam to hold our money, much like taking 3 days for a normal transfer to our bank.  Add it up folks, the longer they "hold" our money in their account, the more interest they get, and we lose.  My item sold, I delivered.  The buyer has now sold the item (at an even greater profit).  And I still don't have my money.  I've sent proof of delivery...........and the most insulting thing from paypal is they won't acknowlege any of my emails to them.  My take is they're waiting out the 21 days.  What!!!!   They have some unpaid bills of their own to make good ?   And they have to collect the interest off of our money to do that. 

If they're going to hold our money, I want them to PAY  ME, at the highest interest allowed by law, for every day they hold it.  And, they can pay my late payment fees to my creditors as well.

This has also recently happened to me. The buyer has already left postive feedback but payment is still being held. The buyer bank ' reversed payment'. Im just wondering..what ever happen tp buyers protection? Ive lost my trust with Pay Pal.
