Is it possible to make the fields mandatory such as customer phone number?

We need for the phone number field to be mandatory.  Is this possible?

I set up a Pay Now button and everything is great except that my customers can skip phone number and we need that to be mandatory for my staff to be able to call them.

Absolutely however, what you have in mind will require a little custom scripting.   Note, you cannot create this kind of item button code using the online button creator as it has it limitations.  The code must be manually created.  Check out the "Required Field" examples on this page.
