From Now On I Am Not Going To Ship Items If Funds Are On Hold.

Because the shipping costs are included in the funds.  If I have no access to the funds cause of the hold, then I have no access to the money the buyer pays for shipping.

This has got to be the least thought out, bass-ackwards policy ever. I sent the item as promised, to Canada..I sent it 11/6 it arrived in hailfax 11/9. After much dialog w the girl, imploring her to please leave feedback. This is all after I realized that the $126 in "I want it now overnight" was up to me to come up with. WTF? I am a cancer patient with no insurance, trying desperately to keep things a float for the past 18 months while I can't work, (trust me I want to) I even told the girl about my predicament..So I keep a watchful eye on the tracking thru DHL..No one home on the 10th, no attempt to pick it up, another delivery attempt on the 12th..Get this;

11/12/2009    2:37 pm Recipient refused delivery. !!!!!

" another delivery attempt the next day at 2:56pm and dear ms Katheren F accepted delivery, but could not take the time to leave feedback.

So this f'd up policy, i jump thru every hoop I am supposed to, put out money that literally changed what I ate the following days. As a seller I do it all, but my well being balances in the reluctant hands of an inconsiderate and apparently hostile and spiteful young lady? She gets her items and I am supposed to wait 3 weeks for payment? If I even decide to continue on eBay, I certainly will not use papal with this policy in place. I might as well just go back to scraggliest. I am just so angry..Ill they change this? I have $504 dollars in limbo..For absolutely no reason. I can even prove she signed for it, I guess with that papal still says it will be three days to lift hold after that? This policy wont hinder those who have a great deal of money..But what about us that are being honest and getting **bleep**ed?

Your answer is Ggl..(just add the  middle"O's" & ending "E").......they accept payments and do not hold them..they accept credit cards too..it is JUST LIKE paypal except w/o the hassles..I'm serious..look into it

also..try BBB.org..it's the Better Business Bureau..if enough complaints are registered they WILL take action..that's what they are there for..I highly suggest it for everyone..

also..no doubt they'll eliminate my posting here and admonish me through paypal and ebay..so feel free to copy paste this over and over so people can read it.....

I sell very little anymore, the hassles are too much, everyone here is correct...

1)people do not leave feedback much anymore..in my experience maybe 2 out of 10 transactions leave it..

2)Paypal 100% makes a profit on money holds

3)There is a fair amount of scammers using this process to get their items for FREE

4)If you purchase from a company outside of ebay & receive only partial or damaged items you will NOT get a refund period...as long as a business, that provided paypal as a service..gives a tracking number...they can send you an empty box and you will not get a refund. Paypal does not mess with big business as they provide a large amount of money through using paypal as an online method of collecting money. Paypal protects those sellers..and that's the sellers they are protecting not small ebay sellers.

5) when you write an email to paypal, KEYWORDS are picked up an your answer is automatically generated to you. A Person does not SEE or READ your problem/dispute..you will only get a person if you CALL paypal...be prepared to have all your ducks in a row when calling.

6) There are several onling opportunities to sell your items..look around and type in what you sell or if you make handmade items include handmade in your search..there is a plethora of selling sites geared for people now and you can get a check, money order or use Ggl (OO and E)checkout.... TAKE advantage of this..leave ebay by the roadside..their digging their hole more and more everyday!

Good luck..from a person who took advantage of using other websites...and Ggl (middle OO & ending E)...I make more money now than ever on ebay...

I think this is the right way to go I think if I ever get the money that is on hold I will try a different solution for selling but I will continue to buy with my paypal account so that more people get to go thought the hold process  also I seams I will beable to get some items for free as paypal always sides with the buyer so everybody should just use paypal to buy things then open a dispute

Paypal told me that it has to do with eBay.....that if you have less than 100 feedbacks, or that silly DSR is less than 4.5, then the payments are frozen until tracking is confirmed, positive feedback is left or 21 days have passed.  I am trying to find another "paypal" type of online payment center to use.  It is becoming ridiculous.

HOLD ON. I was told by a paypal rep early yesterday when I had called that this F*** up 21 day hold policy was just for the Holidays! She also told me that the sellers that are having their payments held is chosen by random. No other reason. She added that if I can provide delivery confirmation or have positive feedback given, my funds would be released immediately. I agree with those who stated in prior posts, dump paypal until they come to their business senses! This "add on stipulation" was NOT part of the agreement that I signed when joining paypal. Who the *()* are they to just out of the blue say "Now we hold sellers hard earned funds for 21 days".  They CANNOT do this to us unless WE LET THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

dont believe them for the random part of their excuse if you also had a spike in sales they will also freeze your money in my case they seized my account do to too many refunds im sorry if my dropshipper was having payment gateway issues and the correct thing to do was refund everyone their money is it not try explaining that to paypal who didnt feel i should be auctioning things via a dropshipper all of the bigger ebay stores use dropshippers so why did they seize my account their excuse to me was to make sure there were not going to be alot of disputes with what money was left in the account well guess what now there are since i cant access the money for shipping those items that the other dropshippers had paypal royally **bleep**ed up my account with them and my personal account since that is where they seem it would be a good idea to issue refunds from but now they have no choice to refund from the paypal account since my personal one has been changed try to get that money paypal out of the 700 that was left in the account 300 was suppose to be mine profits from the items that got sold but now when i can finally access the money thats left it will need to go to pay for the overdraft fees they incured on my account to **bleep** with paypal they arent your pal go to ioffer amazon or ebids they offer paypal but you are not required to accept it

also contact the better business bureau the federal trade commission and your senators and congress men like i did unless you can afford a lawyer to sue them and if you can let me know i want in on it

I agree and this is getting out of hand.  Just happened to me again.  But get this.  The item shows delivered.  The buyer is being a real self righteous pain in the you know what and has yet given any feedback.  PAypal says that I have to wait a minimum of three days after it is delivered before they release my funds.

Now this is a real good one.

Readup on Paypals official rules on on holds.  If you are new to ebay and you start to sell with not track record, they are going to hold your funds until you establish a trend of good sales completed before they release all the funds that they held until they determine that you are O.K. to sell with confidence.  Is that a crock of stinky  baby doo-doo or what?  It is obvious that fraud is abundant and Paypal has been flipping the tab for refunds to the victim buyer.  This is a good attempt to stop this fraud thing but puts average Joe's in the same ranking as the criminals that commits this fraud.  I will take ownership and admit I'm a criminal if I was but I'm not.  Paypal is looking at me as if I'm guilty and I have to prove I'm innocent every time I sell.  I like to hear from the moron that came up with this policy.

Wow !!!!!! 13 pages what an insane policy a policy that goes nothing to protect the seller I would not feel as bad if paypal atleast waited to get their cut !!!  how you gone get your and then I have to wait on top of that . The rep says  well if you can get the customer to leave positive feedback then your funds will be released ? " lady he just got a 2000$ camera 12 hours ago believe me if what he got was garbage you would have heard from him by now . Like most others I am going to get me a CC machine **bleep** this mess that's just crazy the only person not protected is the seller . Just admit that you policy does nothing for the seller but put him at everybody else mercy to get his money while his product is goneeeee !!!!!!!
