I am trying to be a first time Ebay seller... But I can't get the item listed...
I have gone through the Ebay Listing proceedure, but as a first time seller I get directed to PayPal to setup monthly fee withdrawl... It comes back with an error message telling I can't use my PayPal Account and to try another one...
I have used this account for years to buy items... I can even use my PayPal account on other established Ebay Sellers accounts.. Just not on my own. I have even tried to create another Ebay account...
I have spent over 12 hours between Ebay and PayPal collectively trying to resolve the issue, but no joy... Ebay will blame PayPal and PayPal will blame Ebay... But neither can resolve the problem...
Anyone have a thought?
TIA

Hi clewis759,
Have you checked to see that your eBay and PayPal accounts are linked? http://pages.ebay.com/help/account/link-paypal.html

Thanks Amanda... I check to see and it says that they are indeed linked...
I have used my PayPal account to purchase things with my Ebay account....
When I couldn't use my Ebay account to sell an item I used someone elses Ebay account and my PayPal account worked fine with their Ebay account...
Since this my first sellin attempt on my Ebay account, after I supply all of the listing information, I get taken to another page that askes me to "Create A Sellers Account" After inputing my Username/ PW it askes my to select between Paypal, Credit Card, And Bank Account... I use PayPal.
It then takes me to a payPal page to set up payment of monthly selling fees... I again input UN/PW and that's when i get an error message that says...
Unable to use this PayPal Account to set up monthly Ebay Selling Fees... Please use another acccount... This is the only one that I have

Have you set up a seller's account yet?
Press the "Sell" button and it mat tell you that you need to set one up. The "seller account" in the sentence is a link - click on that.
You also need to place a valid credit card on file with ebay.

Yes, I do have a credit card registered with ebay. My problem is this: when attempting to list my first item, I get to the point with eBay that I have to select how I want to pay my seller fees. I choose paypal and am redirected to the paypal site. I enter my username and password and I get an error message stating that I can not use this account to pay seller fees. I am asked to use a different paypal account.
I have spoken with paypal and ebay and they both tell me that everything is set up properly and I should be able to start selling. However, there is no way to list my first item because the error message (mentioned above) is always looming. There is no way to bypass this step.

It seems I recall in setting up my account to sell, there was a step to make my Paypal account good for selling as well as buying, and it may have involved my credit card. Sorry, not much help.

Next time, use the "Credit Card" choice.
You can always change it later - ebay isn't going to charge your credit card immediately anyway - they invoice for their fees once a month.

Strangley, the CC option keeps looping. I have cleared my cache and even tried from a different computer. This is beyond frustrating. I was told eBay would be in touch with me. I has been 4 days.
