Hi, I'm new to using paypal and I have a quick question. I sold a item and I received a "Payment Temporary Holding" email. The email also includes a confirmation number. The buyers address is confirmed and the email said I have to send the shipping details to to shippingalert @ mail2consultant.com. What do I do? Do I package the item off and ask for a tracking number and send the tracking number to paypal or what?

It's a scam... you have not received payment !!!
Always login directly to PayPal's website to confirm whether a payment has been received... don't use links in emails to login to PayPal...
Use your bookmarked PayPal login page or type the https://www.paypal.com website address into your browser's address bar.

No. We just spoke with paypal and USPS and were told the same thing. That this was a scam and we will never see our money. Now we are out and engagement ring, two wedding bands, and the $30 we spent on shipping. They told us that Africa is the new sending location for scammers. We couldn't figure out why this buyer was so willing to give us more than we were asking.

Oh no, I JUST sent my phone out today. Is there anything I can do to cancel the shipping? Because the payment isn't being shown in my paypal account as pending or anything.

There is still a small percent of hope for those of us that have been scammed. If you have sent your package via USPS, you can fill out a PS Form 1509, its a Sender's Application for Recall of Mail. If you fill out this ASAP and take it to the post office, it will send a notice to the receiving post office (the post office the package is being mailed to) to look out for the package and to not send it on to the receipent and will be sent back to you. Only if its done in a very timely manner. I hope this helps people in the future not lose money to these terrible people.
