payment being processed by paypal.

I recently sold several things on ebay everything that was paid for via paypal was recived except one item, its saying payment being processed via paypal yet ive not recieved an email from paypal saying its there and its not showing..just wondered why its saying this. its been like it for bout 4 days now.

Hi Jovigal,

If you can see that the payment is being processed through PayPal on your eBay account, it sounds to me that the payment is trying to be sent to an old or inactive email address. 

Here’s how to find the email address you used in your eBay listing:

1. Go to http://www.ebay.com/ and log in to your account.
2. Click ‘My eBay’ at the top of the page.
3. Click ‘Sold’ under ‘Activity’.
4. Click the item you sold.
5. Click ‘Sell a similar item’.

The email address you used in your listing is under ‘Decide how you’d like to be paid’.

If this email address is not associated with your PayPal account, you need to add and validate the address before you can receive a payment. 

If you don't have access to the email address, you will need to contact your buyer and ask them to cancel the payment. Then they can resend the payment to your correct email address using the Send Money tab from their PayPal account.

Ok , so this exact same thing has happened to me now, twice. Once a couple of weeks ago and once today. i am a business seller and have a business paypal account.All items sold before, in between and after these 2 transactions have processed perfectly normal. Ive checked email address on the listing as suggested by virtually everyone on here or other forums and it is coorectly spelt and is the one linked to paypal, any alternative reasons? I'm really frustrated now.

The only idea i have is couldl it be those buyers have paid with an echeque?

Does it say uncleared in your paypal account with a clearance date of the payment?

Once the payment into your paypal account is marked as comleted, they've paid and the funds are cleared.

Have you also noticed that Paypal always take their commision before any payment shows in your account then they hold on to YOUR money? Surely if they have concerns about the validity of a transaction and need to hold on to the funds in order to ensure theres nothing dodgy they should be waiying until they're satisfied before invoking their charges. If they take their cut that quick they must already be satisfied that the payment is genuine and that your claim to your money is also genuine!!!!!
