Seller has not received payment / payment being processed

I have sold a few items and on the actions under summary it says view paypal transaction but when I click into this and it takes me to paypal but there are no payments listed as being received. One of the buyers has said she has received notification from paypal saying that the payment is being processed.

 

What can I do as I dont want to send the items till the money has come through

Hey there, When you log in to your PayPal account directly from www.paypal.co.uk can you see the transaction there?

I have also had this problem. It says the person initiated payment on 28th August and when I click on the tab to look at the paypal transaction, there is nothing - not when I go through ebay or directly to paypay.  A bit annoying really as there is no explanation.

Hi guys,

 

When you are listing an item for sale on your eBay account, the system may select any of the email addresses that are active on your account or that may have been used in the past. You should try to check this in future in order to try and make sure that it doesn't happen again and you should not incur this issue in future.

 

Here’s how to find the email address you used in your eBay listing:

 

  1. Go to http://www.ebay.com/and log in to your account.
  2. Click ‘My eBay’ at the top of the page.
  3. Click ‘Sold’ under ‘Activity’.
  4. Click the item you sold.
  5. Click ‘Sell a similar item’.

The email address you used in your listing is under ‘Decide how you’d like to be paid’.

 

If you have access to the email address that the payment has been sent to, you can add and confirm the email address on your PayPal account and you should receive your money within a few hours.

 

If you don't have access to the email address, you would need to contact your buyer directly and ask them to cancel the payment from their account. When they cancel the payment, they can resend the funds to your correct email address using the Send Money tab from their PayPal account. From here, they can then send the funds directly to your correct email address.
