Payment on hold

Hello,

I have received previous payment on paypal and i had no problem with it. payment went right away to balance.

Recently i have received a payment and payment is on hold. reason i dont know why exavtly since I haven't violated anything.

Asked my sender and told me he sent them under friends/family option.

Whats the reason they are being held? It's my first time facing this issue.

Sounds as if your 'sender' was not a family member or friend but a buyer?

If so then its against paypal rules to accept f/f payments for a goods transaction as you are evading paying your paypal fee and negating your buyers protection.

So they may have held it to check.

HOWEVER if it was a f/f transaction for the correct reason then sometimes paypal hold payments randomly for a security check.
