sending money from Canada to friend in Scotland

I'm considering joining PayPal to send funds to a friend in Scotland. Can anyone tell me if PayPal Canada allows me to do this?

Welcome to the community forum and thanks for posting.

You can certainly send money to a friend in Scotland with PayPal. Here’s how to send money to friends and family internationally:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. Click Send & Request at the top of the page.
3. Click Pay for goods or services or Send to friends and family internationally.
4. Enter or select the country you're sending money to.
5. Click Get started.
6. Enter the amount you want to send and review the conversion rate.
7. Click Next.
8. Enter the recipient's email address, mobile number or name.
9. Click Next.
10. Write a note to the recipient (optional.)
11. Review the payment method and select Change Payment Method, if needed.
12. Review the amount, then click Send Money Now.

Your friend will need to have a PayPal account to accept the money. If they don't already have one they can set one up when they receive our email confirming your payment.
