Dispute closed before seller receives items back...

  • Why did PayPal close my case, being in favor of the seller while the seller didn’t even yet receive the items I bought that I sent back to them....? I did all that PayPal asked me to do and still there is no way for me to contest anything or to input on their decision! What is the purpose of using PayPal in this case???? I paid half the price of the purchase to send it back to the seller and now I’m in the red for $200 for items that weren’t true to their advertising. Went to my PayPal account and there is no trace of that dispute?????  PayPal tells me to contact the seller myself to get a refund but they do not reply to their emails. Who protects me in this transaction?

Did paypal tell you to return the item back to the seller?

Did you send it immediately?

Did you give paypal the tracking number as soon as you sent it?

Does the tracking number show delivery of the item back to the seller?

How long since paypal told you to send it back is it now?

Yes PayPal asked me to send the package back and to provide them with the tracking number, which I did the next day. Tracking number shows online that it’s still in transit, not delivered to the seller yet. The parcel was sent back On thé 16th of November from Canada to China. I got the email today from PayPal about the decision.

ok, well i guess you sent it 'surface' rather than 'airmail'?

Paypal won't wait 6-8 weeks for your item to arrive, you have to send it so the seller gets it back pretty promptly.

If you had not RECEIVED the item in the first place and opened a dispute for non receipt then once you had escalated it to a claim paypal would only give the seller 10 days to provide a tracking number to prove DELIVERY of the item to you or you get a refund.

So they are not going to give the seller 10 days and you 6-8 weeks are they?
