On a search to find a replaecment for my stolen PS3, I stumbled across the website www.eccmall.com. I noticed that their prices were considerably lower than that of other similar vendors. I still did not have the money to buy it because I am a broke college student, but my father agreed to order it for me for christmas. The first fishy thing happened when he tried to use his card instead of using paypal. Something happened and he was charged twice, once on his credit card and once on his paypal account. After discovering the mistake, he tried contacting them by their "contact us" email address Sales@eccmall.com. After doing some more looking around the website, he found a "live chat, click here" button, but all it leads to is the contact us info which includes the sales@eccmall.com email and a physical address somewhere in the UK. The address is:
44 Orchard road
Melbourn
herts
SG8 6BT
United Kingdom
This seems very fishy espically since its been 9 days since the order was placed (for two $199.99 charges) and there is no evidence that the item has been shipped and no one has attempeted to contact my father or return his emails. Even more strange is at the bottom of the page there are several icons including UPS, Google checkout, Western Union, DHL, Paypal, and Paypal Verified. The strange thing is that when you move the cursor over the payapl and paypal verified icon, it turns into the hyperlink finger, but clicking it does nothing. Nothing at all, no new window, no new tab, no URL at the bottom, no nothing. A few of the other links work, but all you need is a basic understanding of web programming to link a visa button to visa's home page. If anyone has any information that could help me, please let me know. I will advise my father to file a claim soon concerning this matter as waiting may cause further loss. Thanks for reading, and I am looking forward to reading the reply posts. Have a great holiday season everyone!

I just made a purchase too because i was linked from ebay and figured why wait for the auction to end when there was a link to make the purchase right away and it was cheaper than the listed bid price. However at first I thought WOW what a deal and also noticed the poor grammar on the website yet figured maybe the sellers english just isnt that great everything else looked legit. However after I made the purchase I wanted to ask the"need help" icon and talk to someone live regarding shipping duration etc. but was redirected to an area to send an e-mail/post. After i typed the message and clicked send i was given an error, also if you just type www.eccmall.com the site doesn't load. Plus after reading everyone elses posts now I'm really worried. If anyone finds more info reply to this thread. In the mean time I'm wondering if I can cancel my payment!!!

Okay well I just informed a friend of mines that this website might be a scam, so they looked into a few things.
First comment is: 90% is a scam
The website is register in China and the Reg. date 29-nov-2010, they told me that most likely they made this site for a holiday christmas scam???

However it would be amazing if everyone who placed an order got what they ordered and we weren't all made fools of. Plus we better be refunded the amounts if these transactions are all charged yet this was all a hoax.

I did the exact same thing on 12-17-2010 for the same reasons.

I thought, so the person's english is a little rough, they still are trying to do business world wide, so why not give 'em a chance?

Had the same problems as you. The site will load after a long time if you type the address in, but it runs very slowly, and seems to bog any other tab/windows you have open down. I haven't received any merchandise and now have a case with paypal about it. Good luck to you!

@Trina66: When did you open your dispute about the transaction, you wrote that you made the purchase on the 17th of December? I filed a case yesterday, I really hope that PayPal will just revert the transaction but no one has replied my case yet. Good luck to us indeed.

Highly likely scam.
Many telltale signs:
- Broken links
- Security logos with no links (look at the McAffee logo, these always should link back to McAffee)
- Telephone number is a cellphone (most businesses don't use cell phones as primary contact)
- Grammar and spelling mistakes
- Website registered only a month ago

Like all you other folks, I ate the bait and have filed a claim with PayPal for the XBox360. I have also notified Ebay about another listing on their site and from what I can tell from another person who contacted me, they have removed the ad due to possible fraud. I tried to send messages through their website, and the whole 9 yards. I filed the claim today and they have till the 30th to reply. From what I gather here, if they don't, I get a refund. I hope that's the case, because likke anyone else these days, I can't afford the loss. What concerns me is that if there are so many calims against this site, one would think funds would be held or use of this system by the seller be revoked. Maybe they can't do that, but it would save alot of folks alot of grief. Just my humble opinion, and yep, feel like a dummy for getting duped....Blame Murphy's Law and the desire for a real bargain.

I made my statement earlier about the scam. I used my Chase credit card to make the purchase through Pay Pal. I contacted Chase this week and indicated I was disputing the charge from Qi jin (Eccmall). I reviewed my case with them and they are crediting my account, the money for the purchase. They indicated it will come from Pay Pal and Pay Pal will have to take it from Eccmall. I always pay with a credit card when going through Pay Pal and EBay so I have two ways of disputing.

What you all could dois look up the telephone number for the police station in ROYSTON, HERTFORDSHIRE, ENGLAND and tell them exactly whats happened. Melbourn is a little village just outside of Royston, Herts,. I do know for a fact that the police wil act on information given as I was scammed 3 1/2 years ago before i came to the U.S.. The police raided the scammers house and confiscated untold goods. Never did get my money back as investigation took too long and I was emigrating. Thats the best help I can give you all from a Brit
