Hi, I received a refund and it said it went onto my paypal balance as I paid through bank account however when I check my balance it says it is £0. The refund says completed. Does it take a few days to go to paypal balance ? I can't see a way to email paypal directly.

Thanks

It always says it will go to your paypal balance, but they mean 'account' as if they funded it with a card it says the same but goes automatically back to that card.

But if that was not the case in your transaction then  >>

Have you bought anything and paid for it via paypal since the payments should have gone in??
The reason i ask is that if you have funds in your paypal balance and then buy something then paypal will always take from those funds (as that is now the default funding source), rather than from your normal funding source eg bank account or card.
To check go and click on the word "details" next to any recent paypal buying transaction and see if they were funded from your paypal balance ie buyers payments rather than your normal funding source.

It was paid through bank transfer. Paypal is linked to my bank account, not card. The email I got from p aypal saying that the person had refunded me said that it went to my paypal balance.

Ah I see, that’s exactly what they have done. My Netflix payment came out today and PayPal emailed to say that they took the full amount, I thought that they would use the balance before taking the rest. Although they said they took the full amount when I go into the details they didn’t, it was split between the PayPal balance and my bank. Not very clear at all. Thanks for your help.
