Hi,
i have been trying to contact paypal regarding a claim I escalated as it now says it could take a month for paypal to investigate?? It's already been a month since the original purchase, after being messed about by the seller on eBay. I've provided tracking proving the item was delivered a week ago so why does it take up to a month for paypal to return my money? I have already been scammed on eBay for nearly £100 for a item I sold and the buyer returned a different item and got a full refund. After 8 years of trading & nearly 600 positive feedbacks received & not a single negative my experiences lately as put me off selling & using eBay altogether. I'm now made to wait for another £36 I'm out of pocket for after purchasing a item that arrived in disgusting condition. Why don't they provide a email address when the telephone number just sends you around in circles with automated responses?? It's a joke. Honestly I'm so tired of it I just want my money back So I can close my accounts.

Gosh all those good transactions and you want to close your account over one bad one?
Thats like a shopkeeper closing his shop if he gets x1 shoplifter !!!
However if you use the phone option >>
When you get through don't select any options just hang on till you get transfered to an agent or say the word "agent".
OR
have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Hi thanks for your response. But I don't agree with what you say about me closing my account and saying it's like a shop keeper closing his shop after one shop lifter. A shop keeper would have insurance being a business I'm just a private seller and eventually after several scams by these fraudulent buyers the financial loss starts to add up. I can't afford to take a gamble every time I sell something (although listing in a accurate and honest way) I've had several issues over the years with eBay buyer protection. The last time I was scammed about two years ago it was to the value of £300 and yet both times it's been for wrist watches. One which was antique and they dismantled it preventing me selling it again.
It wouldn't bother me as much if Ebay just looked at the evidence I supply. Maybe then they wouldn't be as many fraudsters making Ebay unsafe to trade.
It's not just about the money, it's the fact I have always been legitimate and honest throughout yet in the latest transaction the buyer gains a watch, a full refund including return postage costs at my expense and they still had the cheek to leave me my first negative feedback calling me "A fraud!!" They then sent me a email laughing at me saying " I told you that I would get a full refund!!" 🙂 With a smiley face at the end of the message. They returned to me a cheap plastic used watch worth about £2! In October last year I had problems with 12 out of 16 transactions while buying items for a short holiday. I just think is it really worth all this hassle when I can use other sites without these issues. Thanks for your advice regarding telephoning them as I don't have Twitter or Facebook as both sites are full of drama.

Did not realise you have had lots of bad transactions lately, thought it was only one.
I only opened a facebook account (took 5 minutes) just to use their customer services option and thats all i keep it for, so may be an option for you?
