confused about Payment Reversal Notification

After my ebay auction ended and buyer had made payment, I received a ebay message from the buyer apologizing that he needed to back out due to "family problems."  I then received a notice from paypal for a "Temporary Hold Pending Investigation" and a second notice that The buyer has filed a claim stating this transaction was made without the account holder’s knowledge or consent.

This is highly suspicious considering the message sent to me by the buyer. However, my confusion lies in the Resolution Center > Resolve Unauthorized Payment section. The options given to me are:

How would you like to resolve this issue?
A. Provide Shipping Information.
B. I have not shipped the item and I will refund the payment.
C. I have refunded the payment for this transaction.
This goes against the spirit and rules of the auction... "Gee, I change my mind so I will just claim it was an unauthorized payment." I haven't decided what to do but it seems that PayPal is not really giving me an option and I should refund the money. No where does it let me provide the email from the buyer.

The worst thing about it is that you're eating the cost of the images/etc...
