I recently had two small but, nonetheless, fraudulent charges post on my account. I notified PayPal, showing that the "invoice" mis-spelled my name so as to be a real stretch to even say it was my name. I provided all affirmations, as requested, but I was made to feel my word, my honor and intelligence were in question, from the outset. Now, I pride myself on the reputation 54yrs in the same town has proven my honesty without exception. As to intelligence, I have a BA, a Masters and a Doctorate.......Hmmm? As a PayPal Advantage member with 497 perfect Ebay transactions, I assumed, naturally, that, once advised of the fraud, PayPal would be "On My Side" and direct the investigation at the party that posted the fraud. Not even a little bit !!!!! I was interrogated via email and phone, I answered all and assumed the other party would be similarly, but more strongly made to prove their side. NOT EVEN A LITTLE BIT !! One email, saying the charge was legit........PayPal rules against me, even when I provided multiple consumer blogs documenting a pattern of the same complaints for over 5 years. THANKS PAYPAL. To coin a phrase, "With PAYPAL "On Your Side, Who Needs Enemies?"
