Payment reversed for item buyer received and used

I sold NFL tickets on ebay, I emailed the buyer the tickets after they paid me (which is what the auction said I would do), and the day after the game, they disputed the transaction, and PayPal just now reversed the payment, so I am out the money. I have sent an email to PP, more or less asking WTF, and sent an email to the buyer saying I better get the money, or I will be having them arrested and taking them to small claims court, as I am out $600 for these tickets.

You lost the Paypal dispute because you needed online viewable Signature Confirmation, which you did not have.

You will have to prove who the buyers e-mail account is registered to.

i would file a complaint with the buyers police department, and see what they can do.

i would also send them a demand letter, certified mail demanding they repay within 5 business days or legal action will be taken.

Thank you for your help.  I have emailed them, with no reply, not a shock though, but I have confirmed that the tickets were in fact used.  I will be getting official documentation of that tomorrow.  I will be looking up the number of the police station in their area tomorrow.

Tara, I just had the same thing happen to me, except my buyer waited a full 3 weeks after the transaction (and 2 weeks after the game) to reverse the charge.. Just got the email that it's been closed in his favor.  Needless to say, I'm ticked and definitely not going to be using eBay/PayPal for selling tickets ever again..
