Hi !
We had a small sale for £3.99 via ebay. After a few weeks the buyer raised a case saying their account was used without their permission i.e. an unauthorized transaction claim. We sent the proof of postage from the Post Office (showing the house number and post code) to PayPal but they have just emailed "We were unable to verify the postage information you provided."
1) Has anyone else had a post office proof of postage "rejected" ?
2) The buyer was not claiming it wasn't delivered so why would PayPal consider delivery material to this case anyway ?
3) We have also been charged the £14 chargeback fee - this is adding "insult to injury" since we've lost the item, paid for the postage and not got the payment for it - isn't the liability between the financial institute and PayPal ?
Many thanks for any advice in advance.
