I paid $279 for a service (to purchase something on my behalf). After sending the money the service provider asked me to confirm receipt as the money was put on hold and said that he cannot purchase for me if they don't have the money on hand. No the person is MIA. I have filed a dispute but am so scared that PayPal might decide on the seller favour. Please help with suggestions.

Hi @Dechen,

I'm sorry to hear that the seller has not delivered an item. It's important never to confirm receipt of an item until you actually have the item. Assisting a seller in circumventing our security requirements does nothing to improve your protection and everything to increase the risk of loss. A seller is meant to do any purchasing prior to having access to your funds, using their own capital.

I sincerely hope that the outcome of the case goes in your favor. Please make sure to respond to any potential requests for information promptly.

Olivia
