Hi, my account was randomly limited recently. I use it regularly for purchases and receiving/sending money to friends. It is a personal account and was limited because, "We noticed that you've been receiving, sending or withdrawing large amount of funds from your PayPal account. To understand this better, we will require some information from you." I have not made any abnormal payments or received any abnormal funds. The payments they made me describe were simple payments for fish food and digital merchandise for a video game. I use this account all the time and I don't have a bank account linked to it nor do I have a credit/debit card linked to it. I specifically use the balance because I use it for selling/buying accounts and skins that I no longer use for video games and that's how I transfer things I no longer need into money via PayPal and then purchase things I need. Anyway, they need bank statements, describe specific sent/received payments (completed), and a photo id to prove my address (I can get soon, my driver's license has my old address). I just don't understand why they limited my account. I need this money I have worked hard for and now I have no access to it? Really? I don't even have a bank account linked so why do I need to verify my bank with statements? This is just so confusing and after I figure it out I'm getting my money out and never using PayPal balance again. Any advice/tips would be helpful. I emailed them already because if I don't need to provide bank information I can prove my identity. Again, it just baffles me that they can lock hundreds of dollars just because.
