Need Help Accessing/Withdrawing Paypal Funds from underage account

Hi everyone,

I'm writing to ask if anyone can help me with accessing the funds in my paypal account. Paypal have limited my account about a month ago and locked up all of the funds in my account. I understand that they do this whenever the paypal funds inside the account go over $1000 AUD. They are now asking for an number of personal details along with a proof of identity. However, the problem is that I created the account whilst I was under the age of 18. I inputted the incorrect year of birth in order for me to access paypal's services. Now I know how terrible my act was and now I am facing the consequences. I have tried contacting paypal on many different platforms such as facebook and email. So far I have received a number of different possibilities, and I am extremely confused. I will be able to provide proof of my identity using a government issued driver's license receipt that contains my full name, real date of birth, e-mail that is linked with paypal, and proof of address. I understand that my account then needs to be closed and terminated for breaking the terms of use.

Is there anyone here that would be able to lend me some help? Is there still any chance that I will be able get my money withdrawn? I already have a bank account linked with my paypal account, and some sources say that I will be emailed after 180 days with instructions on how to withdraw my funds and close my account. I would be willing to wait that long, but I am worried that after 180 days, there would still be no email/solution and I have wasted 6 months for nothing. Can someone please enlighten me on my situation, as well as anything that I can do at this stage to help me get my funds back?

Thanks in advance.

Paypal does not allow account holders under the age of 18.
PayPal asks for a birth date when you register so whilst you can make a PayPal account with false information the account will be subject to sending and receiving limits.
When you reach those limits you will be unable to verify your account so your account would be locked for further use.
Minors can’t enter legal contracts so you won’t have any recourse to get your money back.

That account would be useless to you BUT once you are 18 then paypal 'may' allow you to open another Paypal account and then you would have to contact customer services to see if they can transfer those funds to your new account for you.
