I cannot reach anyone in customer service

PayPal is being the most unprofessional I have ever seen a company be. They will not give any way to contact an actual person in their "business". If they cannot help people in situations like this, why are they even still open? This has been an issue for not only me but billions of people. I have read that they even commit fraud. I don't know what I am supposed to do at this point. I tried to resolve my account. When that did not work, I tried to contact customer service through messenger. After days of no response and me continuing to try and reach them, I finally got a response from someone. Unfortunately, Now that someone has responded to me, the messenger is "down" and it claims I need to contact them another way. This is a joke because they do not even offer another way to contact them. It's like they just wanted to beat around the bush about helping me. After spending a large amount of time searching the internet for a way to reach them, I found a number to call. I still don't know if this number was even a real person from Paypal because she claimed she would send me an e-mail that night and I still have not received any e-mails from Paypal. At this point, I wonder if they even have any employees at all. If this company has this many issues and cant even provide customer service, why is it the only option to receive payment on E-bay. I did not sign up for this. I need my issues resolved with promptness because I sold things on e-bay in order to support myself and pay bills this month. Now my bank accounts are in the negative and I am falling deeper into debt. I have probably been scammed by giving the small bit of information I gave on the phone in the first place. There is no phone number to call on their site and it was extremely hard for me to find the number I called in the first place. I am worried and I could lose so much because of them. They should know that in times like these, money is not something mess with and definitely isn't something that can just take weeks and months to resolve. I need this money now and if the people who bought the product from me already have their product, why on Earth can't I be paid. I don't have time to just sit and wait around for someone to decide when they are ready to do their job. The very least they could do is allow me to view the one response I got from customer service in my messenger. But for some reason, the moment they replied, my messenger just "doesn't work". Sounds like a lie to me. The person on the phone claimed she resolved my issues in the resolution center so that my account would be ready for review. When I got off the phone I could see that my account was the EXACT same as before and nothing AT ALL has been changed. Someone needs to FIX MY ACCOUNT NOW!!!!!!!

Same thing here...

Just can't believe that money institution like Paypal is so hard to reach...

Dear Paypal simple email address form would suit most of your clients! And you don't have this option... You have costumer support over online chat? Ok but even no one answers on online chat! Costumers wait for hours without a response and if they click END MESSAGE tab hey loose non-existing live chat agent, and live chat history?

Provide direct email address to your costumers and don't hide behind automated answer machine!

Most of us ain't that stupid and we call you when we actually need to resolve problem or issue which is not displayed in your automated answering machine.

I know it is Covid 19 situation...  I know this might be an issue but you are online institution which is dealing with clients online; which means that your agents could actually respond directly on email even if they are in isolation. We all know Covid situation... You can end up in isolation or you are Covid positive. People in isolation should continue to work unless they are covid positive...

Telephone support? This is not the way for your international clients! First there is language barrier... Plenty of clients don't speak English fluidly to explain you situation over the phone but again if they send direct email to you they could actually explain what is happening and why they need a help.

So once again I think most people would prefer direct email support!

I am also at my wits end here.  I call - they force me through a 10 minute "describe your problem" and then say thanks for calling we can't help and hang up.  I sent multiple messages and do not even get an automated response saying we are wokign on it.  This is going on for 2 months.  All I want is to close the account and move the money, but I cannot do either.

Contact options for Paypal are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages...

1. Paypal phones are slowly re-opening and increasing in numbers (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out.
Or
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their Facebook or Twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPalUK and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Mr. Kernowlass,

I find your copy-paste answer very unprofessional and irresponsible! Why?

Because it seems that you have real power to help us out by direct contact and you actually didn't do so... Instead you have just copy-pasted your automated non working instructions message here like we are kids in first grade of school... Guys real truth is that you can push all available buttons from paypal website but you will get nothing but their automated answering machine!

So dear people... Dear community... Here we have an example how Paypal works... Don't except the help from them cause there is no one to  any help you... Just read that automated kids instructions that Mr.Kernowlass "wrote" and hope that some day some good soul from paypal will step in and help you to resolve your issue.

"4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?

I never had facebook or twitter profile... I protect my privacy and now you are forcing me to contact paypal over facebook and twitter? Are you serious?!

I have every right to protect my privacy... You have my personal data and I signed to paypal because I trusted you, and I want contact with your staff over your website! I trusted that you will stand behind every costumer. That you have costumer support that are supportive and willing to help...

If I can't get anyone here with simple email contact, and if I have to open facebook, twitter, youtube or youporn to contact you than

It is like running a bank business and once when costumers ask same bank for support bank answers: "Dear costumer you can't reach us over our web pages please join to porn hub since we are all active there and you will have all necessary "support" there."

I'm in complete agreement with Rakija. I can't reach Customer Support. I did find the phone numbe[Removed. Phone #s not permitted]but I've been "on hold" for 137 minutes and counting. Don't expect help there.

Here's a thought that might get someone's attention:

For every minute that we're on hold or not getting a response, we send a Negative remark ( keep it clean) in the Feedback or customer review sections.

Flood them!!!!!!

Report Paypal to the California State Attorney General's Office. Also, file a complaint against them with your own Attorney General's Office. If your order involved using the Post Office, also report the whole thing to the Postal Inspector General's office. Then, contact your bank your credit/debit card is with and dispute the charge! Do it ASAP.
