Got ripped off, Paypal has denied to help. Wondering next steps.

So, I recently ordered an item off of a facebook ad. It was for three digital cutting boards. I used paypal to make the transaction. When the item arrived it was three pieces of pine wood, no digital features, was not as discribed, obviously was ripped off, so I filed a complaint. According to the complaint, I need to pay to ship these pieces of wood back to China before I will be refunded (I looked into it it will cost 60$, the item only costs 45$ to begin with). I am worried that Paypal is aiding and abetting in international criminal activity. I am going to the local police and will contact the police in the town where the company I ordered from. I am really disappointed in Paypal for their refusal to help and for telling me I was denied because I refused to ship this obvious junk back to the scam artist that ripped me off. I am curious how other Paypal users deal with this, cause honestly I am about to cancel my Paypal account because their ability to handle disputes seems to aid and abet criminal activity. I am worried about this and so should you. Be careful everyone. Paypal doesn't seem to have our backs. Paypal needs better customer protections.

Got Ripped off ?????

I too got ripped off by China sellers for fraudulent silver coins . to the amount of over $1200. on one and there were two 2 packages  PP closed one on me with out any help at all .  The other was like you I had to send back to the address PP gave me in China ( $170.00 to send it DHL )  It has been stuck at customs in China  DHL since June 1st 2020 , I have sent at least 20 messages now since I have been in the resolution center  starting back about 90 days now . ?? Pay pal just says the same thing over and over  " we have sent your information back to the investigation office it is under review ?  Please monitor your email we will let you know soon " 

over and over now since june 1st, 

I have sent them all the documents and photos and they just keep putting me off ??     

AND   I DO AGREE ,  I think they are aiding and abetting this China fraud  by not turning them in and allowing it time after time .

There must be thousands of us Pay Pal customers being ripped off ??  we need to do something about this ???? 

ANY ONE HAVE SUGGESTIONS for us
