Cancelled my refund case in the resolution centre by mistake

I cancelled my refund case in the resolution centre by mistake.

I bought a camera that has a defective shutter. Raised a refund request on PayPal Resolution Centre where I asked for a £170 refund.

After that I spoke to the Canon camera service man where I understood the repair cost will be around £320, so I rushed to edit my refund case. I could not find a way to edit it to £320 so I decided to cancel the existing £170 refund case and raise a new one for £320. I am now stuck with PayPal not allowing me to raise a new one, even if the first one was cancelled without anyone looking into it.

Meantime the seller agreed via eBay messages to a £300 refund and was happy to proceed to paying me however PayPal didn't allow me to obtain that. They have a rule saying if the buyer cancels the case then the case is resolved to never be reviewed, appealed or reopened ever again.

I am simply destroyed. I feel so guilty of making such a stupid mistake by cancelling the initial case and hoping PayPal would be on my side.

Why doesn't PayPal have somebody to look into such mistakes as mine and offer help to buyers is simply beyond me....

Is there anyone at PayPal who would want to offer me help in this situation? Please, Please
