I keep getting notification that I need to provide documents to confirm my identity but when I click on provide docs, I get a message that says cannot verify ID, go to Account overview, but nothing there. I have tried Resolution Center, but I cannot do anything there. No Way to report this problem, no steps to resolve, etc. I have given up sending a message via Contact us because it is forced choices and none that relate to mine. When I finally got thru ( 50 minutes on hold) to a live person on the phone, she told me my account had been deactivated because I didn’t provide documents months ago. And that there was no way to reactivate an account. My account does not say it is deactivated , just that I need to provide docs that there is no way to upload. And, my passport is on the account so this is pure madness. What can I do to get this fixed?

You need to contact customer services to resolve any limitation OR account specific issues.
Click help / contact bottom left of Paypal pages for options available for your country.

Or have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a personal message from their facebook or twitter pages.
It's: https://www.facebook.com/PayPal and @AskPayPal for Twitter.

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

I did talk to an agent in Customer Service who told me my acct. had been deactivated and there was nothing I could do except open a new acct. under a different email and phone # (not possible for me). When I try to send messages, after the gauntlet of forced choices not relevant, I finally get a message saying " contact us during business hours," even tho it is during business hrs, OT! It is the most **bleep** website and Customer service ever! I will try FB customer service . Thx.

Thanks, I finally got through to customer service before Christmas and just got a reply yesterday saying I need to send proof of address. However there is no link or way to upload a copy of a document. The resolution center does not offer that option; it only lets your report a "case," which is related only to purchases. I responded with my question how do I "send "this proof but don't expect a reply for another month. I would close the account but I need to get a refund from a charity I loaned money through and they only use Paypal.
