You've reached your sending limit

Trying to pay I've received the following:

We're sorry you can't complete this payment with PayPal because you've reached your sending limit. You can lift your sending limit by confirming your bank account. Once you have confirmed it, we have enough information about you and are able to lift your sending limits. Learn more about sending limits.  Lift your sending limit now"

When I proceed to the next page it only lists "Receiving Limits" & as I do not sell it doesn't apply to me.

Also I'm using a credit card & my account is verified..  Where do I go from here??

If you are a "buyer" then you "send" money don't you??

So you have reached your "sending" limit and need to verify your account.

I did read it and took the time out to try and help you!!!!!

It has NOTHING to do with how you fund your paypal payments..........the fact is you are using paypal to SEND the money.

And under EU anti-money laundering laws when you have reached your SENDING limit you have to verify your paypal account and this is how to do it.

By setting up bank funding your PayPal account will become Verified.
To complete the steps and remove all your limits:

1. Log in to your PayPal account.
2. On the ‘Account Overview’ page click the View Limits link.
3. Tick the box next to ‘Receiving Limit per year’ and click Lift Limits.
4. Follow the instructions to lift each limit.

Note: You can begin these steps at any time, however if all the steps are not completed and you reach the annual receiving limit of £1,700 then you will no longer be able to withdraw or send money, fund transactions or close your account until you complete the steps.

I now have this all ticked in green

Set up bank funding (assume this covers credit cards)

Link bank account   

Submit Direct Debit Instruction   

Confirm bank account   

Select account type

Identify yourself or your business type  

Confirm your personal information

Confirm your personal information

 Reset date is January 2014 but still cannot make a payment, going round the same loop again.....& am still verified.  .

Any more suggestions please.

When you link your bank account they then should tell you that you need to confirm it with the 4 digit code sent to your bank account....that can take a few days....then you enter the code and all should be sorted.

So you're saying I now have to enter my bank account despite having the credit card??

You have to add the bank account to verify you paypal account and lift your limits.

These are not MY rules they are paypals I was just trying to help you with it but if you prefer don't do any of it but you won't be able to use your paypal account anymore.

Thank you Kernowlass...it worked & I'm back being able to pay..but why with such a complex procedure didn't  PayPal make it a lot clearer? 

I fully realise it was not your rules but PayPal &  EU money launderings. 

Unlike the Sky Yahoo! mail changeover fiasco your instructions were perfectly understandable & easy to follow..many thanks again.
