Hi,

Can anyone advise why my paypal payment has gone through a an echeque even though I have enough cleared paypal funds and it was working beforehand????

hey the exact same thing happened to me, am v v v v **bleep** about it as the item has essentially been delayed for a week because of this

1. It's happening to everyone it seems. Happened to myself and partner today and conveniently no paypal on Sunday's. Will be on phone first thing in morning.

Hey there guys,

When you are sending your payments you will be shown the last 4 digits of the account that is going to be used to fund your payment. On this page under the “change” or “more fundings option” link is your card available for payment?

On PayPal, the system will default to the safest funding option it sees when sending any payment.

Please make sure that you have completed the link and confirm process on your back up funding source (your card). Have the backup funding source confirmed significantly reduces the chance of eCheques being sent.

Also PayPal is open on a Sunday.

i received a payment as an echeque and the status shows cleared but it is not showing up in my balance. how do i use an echeque??

Hi fozboz,

If the status of your echeque is showing as cleared then you should see that amount of the echeque credited to your PayPal balance. If you do not see the funds crediting please contact us via the contact us link so we review your account specifically.

How do echeques work when processed through paypal.Does it come from my Paypal account or through my actual bank account.

Hi joshua24, 

Echeques are just like a normal cheque only they are online. The funds are requested from your bank account and processed through the banks clearing house before being added to the recipients account (seller account). 

This process takes a total of 7-9 working days to fully complete.
