Can't use paypal credit

So i have applied for a paypal credit which i was approved of . After using it to buy some christmas gift from argos i wanted to use it again on another site that accept Paypal payment. But this time when i clicked to pay with paypal the option to buy with credit wasn't there...

which is funny because before i made a payment to argos i went on this site first to check if i could pay with credit and it did so i'm really confused why that option is not there now.

Thank you for posting your question here. I am sorry to see that you did not receive a response yet.

PayPal credit will only be available to use if we offer it at the checkout. We might not be able to offer this service with all merchants. If you are not able to select the PayPal credit when checking out it means that you are not able to use PayPal credit as a funding source, sorry.

You are holding a sum of my money hostage and I cannot use it to pay for goods.

Instead, my credit card or bank account is being used.

My problem has been solved.

Paypal setting default is to 'pay after delivery'.

In this case, money is always taken from the nominated account not the Paypal credit.

This doesn't seem ideal, but that's the way it is.

You can turn off the 'pay after delivery' option by logging into your account. Select 'Wallet' at the top, then change the option.

Your credit will then be used first.
