i am getting sick of paypal keep holding my money till feedback has been left or 21 days have gone by i need this money to book the courior some times what can i do about this and stop paypal holding it in the future

Hey there, we appreciate that the 21 days hold is a real issue for many sellers. We do explain that it is a security and fraud prevention measure. But this doesn’t help a seller who is still waiting for his funds to be released. There is however, no real workaround to this.

Ideally your item would be ready to go once the payment has been confirmed as received. Following prompt delivery, you should encourage the buyer to leave you feedback (remember, the more feedback you get, the less likely this is going to happen in the future). Once we get that feedback or a confirmed delivery, your payment is released.

That answer is nonsense. I have been waiting 21 days plus. payment status shows as complete, the item is marked as dispatched and received. What else do I need to do. The time it takes to deal with paypal transactions is ridiculous!

My payment has been held for the past couple of days so I sent the item ASAP and got feedback but my payment is still on hold...Why is this?

If your payment has not been released after the 21 days then please contact us and let us know. it should not be held longer than the 21 days so either sent us an email or give us a call.

This is the same if you have provided a tracking number or positive feedback has been left. Once the tracking shows delivery for 3 days the payment hold can be removed. The hold should automatically be removed within 24 hours of the positive feedback being left. If this does not happen again give out Customer Service team a call and this hold can then be removed and the payment can be credited to your available balance.

If you have contacted PayPal customer Service already, let us know how you got on so other people can know what to expect.

Hi as a new seller on ebay i was willing to wait the 21days for paypal to clear my funds, as the 21days is now up i am exstremly annoyed my funds have not been cleared. i was not left feedback but sent the item on recorded delivery the next day and i have proff the item was deliverd as prompt on ebay. this is a joke i called paypal just for it to cost £9 as it was a international call, again what a joke. still not cleared  this is my money, were is my money i fill iv been robed.HELP

I've been having the same problem with Paypal withholding payments for 21 days. Not every buyer leaves feedback and it becomes a real cat and mouse, detective game of begging people to leave positive feedback and/or tracking items for delivery confirmation; whereupon, paypal will reply that they can only release funds after 3 days of delivery confirmation. What is that about? I've had so many problems dealing with this and I'm constantly going back and forth emailing paypal with tracking info and basically asking them to release funds. It's a real pain; would really like to explore other payment options with ebay. Would like to note that I currently have zero negative feedback, so I find their payment holds a very uneccessary penalty, especially seeing as they're charging me fees as well! How long before paypal stop penalising me for being a new ebay seller?

hiya in same boat as yourself given tracking details to paypal they know the item has been signed for and delivered i had to wait 72 hours for my money its been over 72 hours still not got my money but they have managed to take there fees from it though x

Hi there all! I use to have this problem and i have had 4 negative feedbacks since i joined in jan 08. now im on 99% with 164 feedback and i no longer have this problem, i think ebay feel you have to be a genuine member not no con artist, i reckon it was after about 50 feedbacks that this problem went away so check it out!
