Verification codes do not appear on my statement?

Hi,

I tried to link my bank card to my PayPal account a few weeks ago and I have been waiting for the ammounts to appear on my statement. I have just checked my statement online and two payments IN to my account show but there are no codes just the description as "PAYPAL VERIFY" I thought that PayPal were going to take money from my account and then refund me when I had verified my account?

I rang my bank to see if they had any way of giving me the codes but unfortunately they didn't. The lady I spoke to said she had had a few people ringing up about PayPal but they were just asked to enter the ammounts into to verify. Why am I being asked for a code?

I would appreciate some advice as I am so confused!

I'm trying to confirm my card as paypal decided to hold my money even longer profiting from that. You've decided that you will be sending checks to pay for my goods despite the fact I have money in my paypal account. It's 2 days I'm waiting for my codes and I didn't get it. No charge or transfers to my bank account with the code. Sellers are getting impatient. I can't believe that you are doing it to your customers.

I'm having similar problems, I requested for a debit card, and got charged the $1.95 ; but no codes appear in the description except the bank account number of paypal again. Neither online nor on paper there is any code useful for the verification and not once is Paypal mentioned on the description.

I would like to use the service of Paypal through my debit card, but it seems a lot of people are having problems with it.
Might it be wiser to remove the card and add a credit card? Will I be refunded for the $1.95  of the debit card then?

Hello we have had an on going problem verifying our co-op bank account. We were eventually ecsalated to the legal team, who after five months have fixed the problem and co-op could see the code. The advior at the co-op then told us that if they dig around their end they could uually find the code, why they didnt tell us this before is beyond me! Anyway hopefully you will all bebefit from us being used as guinea pigs, i suggest trying again now theyve fixed the problem.

I'm having a similar problem, although if I don't have more than $1.95 on my prepaid card currently, how will they charge me?
