Why have I been charged 3.9% + £0.20 when my buyer lives in Cambridgeshire?  Surely this should have been 3.4% + £0.20.

Welcome to the community forum.

Sounds like the cross border fee was charged here. Even though the buyer might live in the UK, maybe they had an account from outside of the UK.

Maybe ask the buyer if they have an account based outside the UK and that will answer your question.

Many thanks for your answer.

I had thought of contacting the buyer to ask about the location of his bank account, but wasn't quite sure if it was ethical to do so.  He may not feel very happy about answering my query, so I guess I shall just have to let this one go.
