Paypal users please beware of a scam Email regarding payments to Skype Inc. I have just received an Email supposedly from Paypal regarding payment for 3 months subscriptin to Skype Inc. The Email states that if you have not authorised this payment then please click on "cancel payment" button.
Please ignore this Email as I do not believe this is from Paypal as it does not state my name, ebay membership or Email address as the recipient - it simply welcomes the Paypal Client.
Also when I clicked on cancel payment it redirected me to another site which I immediately closed without entering any personal details.
Thanks Pam

Hi, So pleased to see these comments as it is very easy to feel "picked on" when you receive one of these e-mails. Just got one in the last few minutes and realised it must be a scam when the refund link took me to a page that wanted all my bank details, address and pass word hint etc. Of course when I actually accessed my Pay-Pal account there is no record of this transaction at all. What worries me is that G-mail didn't pick this up as being in any way suspicious. The e-mail states that the payment is to Skyps with an S. I accessed their site and the domain is up for sale (another clue?).
Go careful people, its a jungle out there 🙂
Peter.

Hi bow4king,
If you have not clicked on any links or responded to the spoof email that you received then there would be no need to worry or be concerned.
Thanks for posting
Paula
