As Buyer I have tried 3x to pay the Seller for a £50 item. Each time the payment sat unclaimed in the seller's PayPal account., and so each time I've cancelled it. I still want the item. No response by Seller to 2 emails, then Seller replied saying they didn't understand what was going on with PayPal and asking me to send the £50 to a different email which is not the PayPal email. Should I do this? Will it void my buyer protection?

Hey there, it seems like the seller has forwarded an invalid or unconfirmed e-mail address for you to make payment to. The payments in your History Log are most likely “unclaimed”, so you can cancel them. I suggest that you request the seller send you an invoice. Once you complete payment for “Goods” you are still fully covered under PayPal’s Buyer protection Policy for non-receipt or item not as described for 45 days after the transaction completes.
