Not enough funds to bid

I would like to bid on an item but do not have enough funds in my paypal account.  I have put in a request to transfer money from my bank account into my paypal account, but it will take 5-7 days to transfer in.  The auction for the item I wish to bid on ends in 10 hours.  Can I still use paypal to pay, even though the money will not be in for another 4 days?

As a buyer you never need to add funds to your paypal account to buy.

As long as you have a bank account or a debit or credit card attached to your paypal account it will be taken automatically from your funding source.

Normally when you pay a seller it is not instant > paypal pay the seller instantly > then start the process of uploading the funds from your funding source to paypal to as it were "pay them back"..

However if you are funding the payment from your bank account its best to have a back up debit or credit card attached to your paypal account as well, otherwise it won't be instant to the seller as it will go as an echeque and take a few days to clear.
