Help! Paypal have taken £25 from my account, and won't tell me what for.

A week ago or so, £25 was taken from my bank account, labelled "Direct Debit to Paypal".

There are no transactions listed on my Paypal account, and it's not eBay fees or anything.

I opened a dispute in the resolution centre, but i got an email today saying there isn't sufficient evidence that it's an unauthorised transaction.

The only change i've made recently is to change my Paypal account to a premier one.

Have you bought something recently and used your paypal balance to fund part of it and the rest come from your bank account??

That could be a reason that you don't recognise the amount?

No, no purchases at all.

What's more, it's happened again this month!

What monthly fee is it? What on Paypal costs you £25 a month?

Hi Gingermads,

I can see that you have submitted a post saying that you have made two transactions for amount of £25 were first one has been cancelled as you've sent it onto incorrect email address.

This means that you should be able to see a pending reversal in your transaction history.

You can also find helpful information in relation to that in here: Pending refund

If you can't see a pending reversal I would advise you to contact PayPal Customer Service by clicking on Contact us option at the bottom of your PayPal account to resolve this matter ASAP.

Hope it helps.

Hi Anna,

Thanks for the reply, it wasn't the reversed transaction. After a lengthy discussion with my bank (Santander), it turns out that they are two fines from my account going overdrawn in July!

Why on earth they are labelled as Paypal direct debits on my bank account, i have no idea!

Mystery solved. Thank you all.
