HELP! Problem with sending money!

Today I bought an item from eBay at around 1pm. Its now 8pm and no money has been sent from my account via PayPal.

PayPal says that the process of sending money to the buyer has been completed.

But my bank balance hasnt changed at all.

I dont want to be sending some other poor souls money!!

I have chacked the funding source and it appears to be all correct. 

*This has happened before when I bought another item but it charged my brothers instead of me!* We have checked his account and it is also untouched.

Who's money have I bought this item with and how do I resolve it???

There has still been NO change whatsoever.

Do I wait longer for the money to leave my bank account??

I am receiving money from ebay items that I am selling.

This is with the same account.

But When buying items, it is not taking any money out of my bank.

Anyone care to say why? I dont want to be sued or accused of fraud or something.

Sorry for the no responses but there weren't too many people around over the christmas period.

Payments by Direct Debit won't leave your account immediately, it takes a day or two before your bank will receive our request for funds. We pre-pay the seller immediately, this is why the payment states 'completed' immediately.

Hi i bought an item from ebay,which despite it not being complete,i am quite happy with,But now i need to complete my Bank Details with PayPal and i dont know the amounts they deposited into my account,as i am not online banking and i live in a very rural area my nearist town is ten miles away,plus i am incapacatated so therefore cant get into town to get a bank statement to verify the amounts,please can you send me the amounts again,Thank you.

Hey Barbara-2009, I don’t know if sending the amounts again is going to change your issue. All it will do is invalidate the first 2 amounts. I would suggest you call your local bank, and ask them to review your bank account, looking for 2 small amounts less than a pound each sent from PayPal. Get them to look over the deposits into your bank for the 5 days following your initial request through PayPal.

Here’s how to enter the random deposits, once you get them, and confirm your bank account:

Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.

Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.

Click ‘Bank Accounts’ under ‘Financial Information’. (Don’t see this step? Follow the instructions below.)

Click ‘Confirm’ next to the bank account you want to confirm.

Enter the exact amounts of the 2 deposits made to your account, then click ‘Submit’.

Or

Go to www.paypal.co.uk and log in to your account.

Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.

Click 'My money'.

Click 'Update' beside 'Bank Accounts'.

Click ‘Confirm’ next to the bank account you want to confirm.

Enter the exact amounts of the 2 deposits made to your account, then click ‘Submit’.
