Cannot cancel a pending paypal transaction.

I ordered an item from a website and the transaction has been pending for a long time. I want to cancel the payment, so i can order again. There cancel button doesnt appear under action and i dont want to to order another one then the pending transaction completes and i get 2.

I am also having the same issue, I want to cancel an Unclaimed payment but there is no cancel action where the Help/Guide says there should be! Whats going on?!

Hey guys,
Slashin and badger99, if you made an order and wish to cancel it you need to contact the merchant directly as only they can void an order. If the order is ‘pending’ for 29 days it will automatically cancel.
Aoth, you can only cancel an ‘unclaimed’ payment if the email address it has been sent to is not registered to a PayPal account. As you have no option to do this it means the recipients account is set up to manually accept or deny payments. If the payment isn’t claimed within 30 days it will reverse back to you.

I have a pending payment to CEX and the seller has cancelled the order but hasn't cancelled the paypal transaction and are now ignoring my requests to do so. What can I do other than wait 28 days as I need the money now.

I too cannot cancel a paypal transaction, oh and incidentally I cannot contact paypal atall. Does anybody have their phone number? I wouid be very grateful.

Stuart0001, only the merchant can void a transaction. You can contact us directly for more advise.
Motorheadman, in relation to a payment to the wrong address, if it is ‘completed’ then file a dispute for ‘Non Receipt’. If it’s unclaimed you’ll need to wait for it to automatically reverse.
Stuart0001, I had to remove the number from your post as it’s not a correct Customer Service number, but you can click on the Cotact Us link at the bottom of every PayPal page and select 'Call uS'.

I also purchased a product from an online vendor and selected PayPal. When PayPal returned me to the online vendor for confirmation, the vendor displayed an error message which said to try again. I did and now I have two pending transactions pertaining to one order. I called the seller and cancelled the order, but PayPal still has the order on my books.
I have written system, network, scientific, and commercial applications since 1965 and these errors are application bugs that need to be fixed. Please fix them, otherwise I will have to discontinue my membership.

I have a similar problem, though, my supplier has agreed to cancel the transaction about 6 hours ago, it still shows as pending. Please help!!!
