why do paypal  check my bank account linked to my paypal account to make sure i have money available to pay for anything i buy ,,but then they pay the seller for me ??? why dont they just take the money from MY bank? after all thats what its for....I often check my paypal account summary page and see that the transaction is complete and assume everyones been paid,, only for paypal to come back over a week later and request payment from my main bank account which is often emptied by then ... I then get hit with charges from my bank!!! non of this would happen if they would just pay the seller with my money from my account when they first check to see its there...Ive stopped selling anything on ebay because of paypal and their "funds on hold for security review" con but now they are making it too much hassle to buy things from ebay too if you have to use them to pay....I just dont understand it all...if ebay own paypal now and are therefor getting away with charging you twice for selling something,, then why are they allowing paypal to iritate so many customers so badly that like me they now use other auction sites??? its like slow motion suicide .. maybe they've had a monopoly for so long they think they can do whatever they want... well as Mr Dylan said,,,,, the times they are a changin...

i'd encourage you all to look into using other auction sites as thats the only way they will ever take any notice of the little man...they have managed to corrupt the whole ebay ideal.... GET PAYPAL OUT!!!

It takes a while to transfer funds from your bank account to paypal.

So as long as you have a back up debit or credit card on file iwth paypal as well, then they always pay the seller for you and then start the process of uploading your funds to paypal to as it were pay themselves back again.

They do this so the seller has the money instantly and you don't have to wait so long to get your item.
