How to cancel a pending payment on a product that has been removed from ebay

I have purchased an item on eBay and have paid for it through PayPal, the payment is pending and the seller has not accepted the money yet, I cannot cancel the payment because their is no history of the product because the seller has removed it from eBay. This is probably a scam but is their anything I can do to get my money back (eBay can't give me my money back because the item has been removed)

1. If there was a cancel option next to pending / unclaimed then use it and the money will be refunded.

2. If there is no cancel option next to pending / unclaimed then the payment will 'time out' and be released 30 days post payment.

3. If its pending / unclaimed and then changes to completed / sent before 30 days then you would need to file a dispute to get the money back again.
