I've never had a problem with this until now. Usually when I transfer funds into my bank account (Which I do as soon as I receive it into my paypal account) It's instant. Today however it's still pending. I understand it says it can take up to 2 hours to transfer the funds but it's been a while now and it's still not going through, when this is usually instant for me. I've never had this message come up as it's always gone through instantly. Any ideas as why this time it's taking ages? I really need these funds in my BA asap..

Im havaing the same problem. Actually this is not a technical issue. Just imagine if you were Paypal and you could hold all that money for 3-20 days. What could you posibly do with it 🙂 offcourse make more money.

This is exactly what Paypal is doing. Technically if the money has left your Paypal and you cant use it where is the money held?

I am a sole trader and my clients pay me through paypal. How can I commit them a deadline for the work if I am not sure when I would receive the money in my bank account. Or what if I have started the work and suring the time the funds are held by Paypal, the client asks for a refund.

What I hate about these corporations is they make you get used to the service, you start depending on them and then they **bleep** you over and over again.

Best part is you can't do anything about it. Just sit there and wait for Paypal's mercy to release the funds.

I don't blame Paypal, its the government that backs projects like Paypal, Google etc. as they benefir from it. Why is gambling legal when clearly they are the biggest thieves on the planet.

don't stress from that.. it's my second time in these 2 past weeks..

i first withdraw a merely 31$ lol and guess what?! they keep it pending 5 days before confirm it..and if u add the 2 days that my card bank process it, it took a week to finally have have my money on my credit card...only for $31 lol

i sent on 16(friday morning) $360..still pending..i got mad but i can't call the b..... so i sent a mail..i got an automatic reply for god sake..i sent again reply and nothing.im not a ebay seller,i have my account verified and never had problems like chargeback or anyting so i can't go with their stupid game.i saw someone here made a withdrawal to see if it's for security as they say..that person sent like $800 and paypal kept the money pending just like mine for 5 days so the person send $0.41 to see and even after 3days the transaction wasn't confirmed..seems like paypal even closed the phone when they called for explication lol..

i don't think ill use paypal animore..looking for another similar..i eat from that mone and i can't wait a week for that.

Atleast this should not happen with business accounts as they know that business transactions need to be sent and recieved on time. I am a programer myself and I understand how these security checks work but this is not a security issue. Thats just an excuse to keep your money. If there is a security check it would look at the withdrawl history, account history and the ammount of money you are withdrawing. Offcouse a withdrawl of £1 should not be marked as pending whereas a withdrawal of £1000 should be manually released for security reasons if someone has hacked your account.

My only question to Paypal is that if the money has left Paypal offcourse its kept in their accounts for whatever 5-10 days.

What's happening with the money in those 10 days?

Any other solution you recommend?

I have the same problem and this is going on since May 12th. Paypal support says:

"The delay for the release of the funds to your credit card is caused by a technical problem on PayPal´s side, currently affecting not only your account. We are aware of the problem, and our engineers are working to resolve it with highest priority. As of today I have no update of the exact day when the problem will be resolved, but we hope it will be soon."

All my withdrawals take 3-4 business days to get from Pending to Completed and then the usual time to get into my credit card. This is absolutely unacceptable as more than 10 days passed since this "technical problem" is not being fixed. I'm actually analyzing moving my business away from Paypal. What if a technical problem comes up and I can't withdraw at all for 10+ days?

I thought the same, Lady L. However, they have us Ebayers over the barrel of a gun. Owned by the same company and you can;t function as a seller without Paypal
