Hi everyone,

I'd like to apologise about the delay in giving an update on this. We have been investigating your queries and responses.

Nowadays, we aim to withdraw money to your bank within 2 hours of you initiating it from your PayPal account. This is much faster than before.

However, our system delays a small amount of withdrawals for security reasons. These will usually take 21 hours to complete, a very small amount can take 72 hours. These will show as being “under review” in your PayPal account.

You can find the small print in our UA in section 6.2.b.3.

P.S. While I hope this sheds some light on the situation, I understand your frustration and confusion. I’ll make sure to forward your feedback, too.

I am new to PayPal and ive placed a withdrawal request of a small £6.54. Im furious with PayPal as I need my funds to clear including the £104 in which I placed a request today. I'm skint and have bills to pay!! And PayPal is taking the pure p**s. The customer service is great, they are polite and try their best to help although PayPal as a company itself is damn right annoying. I will be taking legal action if I do not receive my funds by the end of tonight. NOT happy.

States in the user agreement that the 2 hour transfer is not guaranteed and can take up to 72 hours.

And you agreed to that when you signed the user agreement when you joined.

Also hope you are a millionaire if you are hoping to successfully sue a large company over a withdrawal with a timeframe you agreed to.
