I seem to be having a problem that is not unique. I cannot delete a card that is about to expire. I get the message that I have payments pending. I DO NOT. Come on Paypal, what's the problem?? Also, your email isn't working - as has been said by other cleints with the same issue as me!

I am having the exact same problem!
Why can't we delete a card even when we have no transactions pending?
I have just added a new card and want to delete my old one that is linked to an account that is no longer used, but it just says "You may not remove your funding source while an authorisation is still pending" even though there are not any. I even have a bank account attached so whether or not there are pending transactions should not matter anyway.

I have just had an email from Paypal...
The reason I cannot delete my card is because I have made a payment from my bank in the last seven days and my card is there for backup in case the money doesn't go through.
Even though it is a debit card and there is no money in that account it cannot be deleted until the payment has been confirmed to Paypal by my bank which takes 5-7 days.
So I will be able to delete my card sometime next week...

Hi guys,
Even if you have not made a payment within the last 7 days or so, there is a technical issue with this at the moment that is displaying the same error message to customers when they are trying to remove a card from their account.
If you have not made any payments within the last 5 to 7 working days, you should try contacting customer services directly and we can try to remove the card from your account for you once we can see that there have been no payments sent from your account recently.
I hope this helps,
David.

Im having the same problem as this, and I was talking to a friend the other day, and it turns out she had the same problem. Turns out, that some time ago, she used paypal to buy something online, and the seller never authorised the payment. So even though everything went through fine, and there were no problems, the seller never properly let paypal know or something like that, so it still thinks the payment is going through. She phoned paypal, who told her which seller it was, she phoned them, and they were able to sort it out, and she managed to remove her card.
I hope Ive explained this properly, dont know if its what stopping paypal from letting us remove our cards, but its worth checking out 🙂 Im going to phone them soon.
