Providing personel information about EU regulations ! Not showing in my policy updates.

Reciently when ive accessed my paypal account from my ebay account a Paypal policy update page shows saying the following information :
Ive got till the 11th Jan 2012 to provide the necessery information or my account will have limited access.
EU regulations, require that we collect and confirm your account information.
Need your information to comply with EU regulations.
Showed on this page are two options to click update now or later is this a genuine request or is it a SCAM ? surley paypal have all my personnel detail !
when I accessed my paypal account last night straight from my browser this request appeared again, when sighned out and in again it dissapeared with nothing showing on my To Do on my Policy update box right hand side of my account page.
Is anyone else having this problem !! I have sent Paypal two messages and still waiting for a reply.

If you are receiving this message when you are logging in to your PayPal account, it would be a genuine request for information from you. It sounds as though we are requesting this information in order for us to comply with European Union regulations.
You could try going through the Update Now process if you wish in order for you to complete the different steps in to resolve this issue. If you are unable to complete the process, you could also try going to the Resolution Centre on your account in order to complete the steps.

I have had the same thing,update now, nothing to update,and nothing to resolve. In reply to an email to PayPal about this I receive an answere about what to do if password is lost,mine isnt?

Have you tried going to the Resolution Centre in order to see if there are any steps there for you to complete? You could also try contacting customer services directly and we can try to assist you while you are on the phone.
Sometimes, when the information is entered on your PayPal account, it hasn't been saved correctly on the system and by contacting us, it will help us to resolve the issue.
