I've just had a dispute that was raised for a purchased item closed by Paypal. There was no information provided by Paypal regarding any resolution/decisions taken and unfortunately I have a defective item that the seller is not being helpful in sorting out. I'm assuming this isn't normal for Paypal to just drop out of the loop?

How long was the dispute open for?
Did you escalate to a claim?
What option did you open the dispute for?
Did paypal tell you to send the item back?
Did you send it back trackable?
Did you give them the tracking number?
Some info would be useful.

Kudos / Solution appreciated.
