Hello help please on Adding and removing Visa debit card information.

Hello i have been using my brothers account to purchase things online using my card details. This is his account, how can i remove a visa debit from this account? p.s i have my own account i am trying nto put my own details on it but it is refusing to do so due to privacy blah blah blah. hah PLease HELP!!!!!!

Hi there ineedanswerfast,

Here’s how to remove a debit card or credit card:

1. Go to www.paypal.co.ukand log in to your account.
2. Click ‘Profile’ near the top of the page.
3. Click ‘My money.’
4. Click ‘Update’ beside ‘Debit and credit cards'.
5. Select the card you want to remove and click ‘Remove.’
6. Review the information and then click ‘Remove.’

You cannot remove a card if the card was used for a pending transaction.

Once the card is removed from this account you should be able to go through the profile link in your own account and add this card.

Hi gr8 help but does not seem to work in my case

I got a problem with removing my ex girlfriends card from my acc its a backup funding source or so it is claimed.

i was phoning your customer service 2 times and everyone was promising me that it will be removed it was like 4 moths ago now im again starting to use paypal and what do i see? exactly the card is still there and is not removed is it so hard to do what ppl are requesting dear paypal?

I was trying to remove it myself by all i get is "You cannot remove a backup funding source while an instant bank transfer is in progres" anyway what does that mean?

you cannot remove it while im requesting a money transfer from paypal to my bank acc?

But its my bank acc and my card that is used not the backup card of my ex girl so WHAT IS THE PROBLEM HERE?! pls reply to this and help me remove that freaking card from my acc it isnt much that im asking for is it?

I'm sick to death of asking Pay Pal for an answer to this query.  I cannot remove debit/credit cards for love nor money. 

I have a clear balance and no pending bank transfers but it keeps telling me I do.  Come on Pay Pal.  Is it so hard to answer a simple question!!

Hey guys,

If there are no transactions still processing from your bank and you still can’t remove the card then I would advise you to email us with the last 4 digits of the card that you wish to remove and authorisation to do so.

Hi i can't seem to click on profile is there any other way around it as everything above seems to get selected every time i try its doing my little head in... Anyone plz...,???

Hi miniminx80,

Profile is the section of your PayPal account where you update all of your information so you should be able to click on it. I would recommend clearing your cache and cookies and then using another browser if that doesn't fix the issue. 

Not all browsers are compatible with all features on PayPal.

I am also having an issue removing a card, I have had an email this morning stating that I have to renew a card as it expires in Feb, this card is an old one that I no longer have due to a replacement from the bank, I have added my new one to the cards, however it will not allow me to remove this card as it states same as others that I cannot remove whilst an instant bank transfer is pending ***** there isnt but the system is under the impression there is.

Come on Pay Pal update your systems correctly
