How to remove a bank account that's added, but not added.

I'm a very rare paypal user, so to date I've simply added a card when I need to make a payment and then immediately removed the card.

A yearly payment is due to go out, so I "added" my bank account to paypal, and using my bank's internet banking I sent some money into my wallet to cover the payment.

The bank account appears at the bottom left on my PayPal summary screen, with a link to "confirm". If I click this it just takes me to my wallet - but the account does not appear in my wallet.

I want to now remove my bank account from paypal, but can't find a way to do this. I won't really feel happy until I can't see a trace of the account anywhere in my Paypal!  (Until next year, when I'll do this again.)

Thanks in advance,

GR

From what I know, PayPal prefers both a credit card and bank account linked and confirmed to your PayPal account.  Although you're probably not comfortable with having both linked (as many people are) and then removing either or both after using, doing so simply throws a wrench in the verification process which in turn messes up your account setup.  Although your intensions are well meaning, suggest contacting customer support - they may be able to provide you with a work around.

It actually seemed to be simply a timing issue.

The bank account appeared in my wallet when I logged in this morning, clicking on it I was then offered a button to remove the account. The account no longer appears anywhere in my paypal.

So for those cautious once-in-a-blue-moon users like myself who want to add a balance but not leave their bank account attached:

 - Add the account

 - Send the money in from your internet banking

 - Wait

 - Remove the account once it appears in your wallet some hours later

 - Repeat next year (or interval of your choice).
