This topic is relevant to me to. I lost an Xbox 360 for $72 on e-bay because I don't have a bank account and got denied that card thing. So if you answer this guys plea for help, you're answering mine.

I just went out and bought a $30 Visa Gift Card at Walgreens and it didn't work.

I registered the card at gift2go.net but this is what I got when I tried to attach it to my paypal account;

"This credit card has been denied by the bank that issued your credit card. For details on why your card was denied, please contact your credit card issuer's customer service department. Or, you may want to try adding a different credit card."

Anyone know a card that they will accept?

Actually, for some strange reason, the card worked today.

Maybe all thats needed is to wait 24 hours? Or email the company that owns the card.

It didn't verify my account, but using my vanilla visa debit  gift card with $5 left on it upped my sending limit from 0 to 2,000.

If you have money in your paypal account you can shop online, I have not known paypal to accept gift cards as a way to verify your account.  You will need a prepaid debit card, which can be purchased at Walgreens or CVS pharmacy.  Those cards give you a routing number and account number, like a actual bank.  You can accept the paypal deposits with that type of card.

I know it has been a while,  but I'm glad I am able to assist people in clarifying this situation.   At PayPal we have security standards  to make sure we are able to provide you with the best security we can.  Many pre-paid debit cards do not have the same capability for us to verify them using our security measures compared to regular debit/credit cards.  For this reason, there are times in which some prepaid cards will be unable to be used on your PayPal accounts.  I know it is an inconvenience, but I hope this  clarifies your questions.
