PayPal mobile app notifications

Last summer I gave my wife my PayPal login details – we shared a joint bank account – because she needed to know what I had spent that related to her business. Those details aren't important. Without my knowledge, she installed the PayPal mobile app because she wanted to keep tabs on what I was using PayPal to buy. So, she received notifications on her mobile whenever there was a transaction on my PayPal account. She has since divorced me. However, she continues to receive notifications on her mobile of my PayPal transactions despite my having changed my password on the advice of PayPal technical support. She says she has uninstalled the PayPal mobile app and reinstalled it in an attempt to wipe my details from the app (she appears to want to continue using the PayPal app for her own account, for some obscure reason). It seems like I am unable to prevent my ex-wife from continuing to receive these notifications. I find this baffling and infuriating. How is it that I cannot have any knowledge in my account settings that PayPal is sending these notifications? And even more bizarrely, how is it that these notifications continue to be sent despite my change of password? What is the solution? I know I could start a new PayPal account, but I want to have access to all the notes I have made and the details of my transactions.

Hello Mars0,

Welcome to the PayPal community and I am sorry for the negative experience you are having at the moment.

I would advise you to change your password and security questions on your PayPal account again, and also to turn off notifications on your phone regarding your account.

Hopefully that will resolve this.
