PAYPAL CAN NO LONGER OFFER ME THEIR SERVICES

Been a paypal user for 8 years.  Yesterday I tried to make payment for an item on Ebay (have Ebay and Paypal linked automatically).  My payment was declined because 'Paypal noticed activity on my account that's not in line with their User Agreement and they can no longer offer me Paypal services".  I have done nothing out of the ordinary with my Paypal account.  Paypal have stated that any cards or bank accounts lined to my Paypal account cannot be removed nor can I create a new account. Any money in my balance will be held for 180 days (luckily I do not have money held).  Why has this happened all of a sudden?  Has anyone else experienced this with Paypal?  Any help or advice would be much appreciated.

Hey Carolyn46.

Welcome to the Community!

I'm sorry to hear what has happened on your account recently. If there has been a limitation placed on your account and you are advised the limitation is permanent, this would mean that you will be unable to use PayPal in future.

If there is a permanent limitation on your account, it would mean that you would need to use an alternative payment provider for your future online transactions.

If you would like more information on your account and why this decision has been made, you can contact our customer service team directly and we can assist you further. You can do this through the 'Help & Contact' us icon at the bottom of any PayPal webpage. From here, you can then click the 'Call Us' or 'Email Us' option to contact our customer service team directly.

David.
