Hacked

Hi my account was hacked last friday and £3.000.00  was requested to be paid into my paypal account. I just went to my bank and the request was granted but its still being processed on my paypal account and my balance had not altered. I was requested to change my details via paypal on friday which i did but i don't know if my money has already been stolen. My bank has said that the withdrawl has been made yet it is stil showing as being processed. I was told by paypal to just transfer it back into my bank.. Will i be charged for returning it and how do i know it hasnt already been taken. Kindest regards Andy.

Hi andie215, 

I am sorry to hear that your PayPal account was accessed and I am so glad to hear that you have since changed your details as requested. This means that your account is now secure. In relation to the funds, it generally takes 5-7 working days for funds to be added to your PayPal balance from your bank account. These types of payments must process via the banks clearing house before they are added to your PayPal account. Once added, your will see the funds on your PayPal balance and can then withdraw them free of charge to your bank account.
